Stuart Pritchard February 18, 2019

From sustainable solutions to global packaging trends, Pro2Pac 2019 is set to be the most cutting-edge edition yet…

Pro2Pac, the complete processing and packaging event for the food and drink industry provides an unrivalled opportunity for retailers and brands to differentiate their company’s offering – be it their bottles, branding, or take-out boxes – by finding the latest innovations in packaging, processing and printing all in one place.

Especially designed for food & drink businesses looking to be inspired by new concepts, innovative solutions & designs, Pro2Pac will feature 120 suppliers including names such as Tetra Pak, Adpak Machinery Systems, Ilpra Systems UK and Ravenwood Packaging.

International representation for 2019 will include suppliers and solutions providers from Turkey, China, Russia, Sweden, Poland, India and Germany.

The event will offer a full schedule of free-to-attend added value attractions such as seminars, networking opportunities and workshops. An impressive array of experts will lead debates on key issues such as sustainability, plastics, global packaging trends and Brexit on the Outside the Box Stage. Speakers will include Dick Searle, Chairman of the Packaging Federation, Andrew Large, Director General of CPI Europe and Philip Chadwick, Editor of Packaging News.

SUSTAINABILITY TRAIL

The latest innovations in packaging, processing and printing all in one place

Awards including the Pro2Pac Student Design Challenge, jointly co-ordinated by the event organisers Fresh Montgomery and the Packaging Collective, as well as The Pro2Pac Excellence Awards will shine a light on the future of packaging innovation.

Sustainability is arguably one of the most important issues facing the processing & packaging industry today. With this in mind Pro2Pac will produce a “Sustainability Trail” which can be picked up at the event. The Trail will showcase some of the most inspiring products at the show, whether that be exhibitors who are using 100% recycled packaging or those who are offering exciting and innovative new sustainable processing solutions.

Continuing the theme of sustainability, Pro2Pac 2019 will welcome A Plastic Planet to the 2019 event. A Plastic Planet (APP) is a global movement for change with a singular goal – to ignite and inspire the world to turn off the plastic tap. APP will be participating in a number of stimulating debates on the Outside the Box theatre, focusing on the topic of plastic – surely one of today’s most talked about subjects. They will also have a dedicated area of their own at the event, showcasing some of the most innovative plastic-free packaging solutions known to man.

In addition, to ensure continual relevant innovation, Pro2Pac 2019 has announced a collaboration with five industry experts to support the creation of forward-thinking content, products and solutions being showcased at the biennial event.
