Wessex Packaging has announced their move to a new 70k ft² Distribution Centre, in Yeovil, Somerset.
The building at 26 Mead Avenue on the Houndstone Business Park, Yeovil, provides 70,673 ft² (6,565 m²) of modern warehouse accommodation with dock level loading and includes 12,000ft² office space, and a 50,000ft² yard.
Established in 1975, Wessex Packaging has grown to be a leading independent industrial packaging supplier with an established national customer base, supplying packaging materials, machines and business solutions across a wide variety of industries. Wessex Packaging is also the official GB distributor for ErgoPack, the global ergonomic and mobile pallet strapping solution.
Currently located in Watercombe Park, Yeovil, Wessex Packaging is consolidating from three separate warehouses. The company holds a wide range of packaging materials, providing customers with a next day delivery service and operating a vendor managed inventory solution for major customers.
Providing a multi-functional operating space with pallet and bulk storage, dock level loading, shared user capability on a 3-acre site, Wessex Packaging’s new Distribution Centre will help enable a more efficient and customer-focused operating process.
The investment into the new Distribution Centre is a further step in the growth of Wessex Packaging, as the company expands to provide an increased service offering to businesses across the South West, South Wales and nationally. The national sales, procurement and customer service teams will continue to be based until 2019 at Wessex Packaging’s HQ at Barrington House, Yeovil, before the business consolidates at the 26 Mead Avenue address.
