Packaging designers, who have less than a week to submit their final entry, will not want to miss out on the chance to grow their business opportunities, showcase their work to an international audience, receive recognition from highly respected designers and marketing chiefs, and gain valuable, honest and actionable feedback.
Adam Ryan, Project Manager at Pentawards, comments: “We have already received some incredible entries this year and have not only been blown away by the volume, but also the level of innovation. That being said, in the last few days before we close we expect to see even more cutting-edge and pioneering designs being entered. We are issuing this final call because we don’t want brands to miss out on the opportunity to take part in Pentawards 2019. Friday 12th April needs to be in all packaging designers’ diaries.”
The value that organisations gain from participating in the Pentawards is vast. 2018 Diamond Award winners, Auge Design, reported that the number of clients it works with more than doubled within two months of receiving its Pentaward. This expansion allowed it to move into at least five new international markets.
2018 Platinum Award winners, Olmo García and Oliver Montiel, Co-Founders at The Bold Studio, comment on the importance they place on entering the awards: “To begin with, we were just honoured to even be taking part in a competition as well recognised as Pentawards. We had always admired both the participants and the institution. However, more important to us was to have our ideas evaluated by an external agent.” Pentawards has since collaborated with upcoming British illustrator, Ning-Ning Li, to create a story, depicting The Bold Studio’s journey to becoming Platinum Pentaward winners. This can be seen here.
New for 2019, all entrants will receive feedback in the form of a Pentawards Excellence Score. Everyone, whether a winner or not, will receive individual feedback from the Pentawards’ International Jury of leading figures in global design. The score will be based on the jury’s verdict of the entry in relation to quality of design, brand expression, creativity and innovation and emotional connection.
Ryan concludes: “Being a Pentawards winner has far reaching benefits on both a national and international scale. No matter if you want to grow your business, be more recognised globally or receive honest feedback from a panel of leading experts, submitting your entry by Friday 12th April is a must. I can’t wait to see what this final week brings.”
